I live in Portland, and I love it. I do. But it’s been raining, and raining, and raining. And then – it rains some more. Which I do like, but I’ve had it. The hubs saw my pain, and decided to cash in our frequent flier miles, pack up the kidlets and find some serious sunshine. So we are heading for the desert – Palm Springs is calling out to me in a big way! And since this is blog-land, and I have as much cash as I want, and the body I’ve always deserved {no, I haven’t birthed 3 children, thankyouverymuchforasking}, and a killer tan to boot -here’s my Palm Springs getaway plan!

Not all of us can be such jet-setters (not that I’m bitter or anything). So this year I’m staying local. Stay-cations are where it’s at! Woot! I like to think of my penny pinching spring break plans as the gateway to a super fab summer vacation. Think Bali….ahhhh. So make some fresh french press, settle in to tackle your long reading list, explore a new neighborhood and try a new restaurant. Here’s my wish list for this local holiday.
